New plastic plug which fits into the hole next to the clutch cable ball end at the clutch fork. It's purpose is to keep the clutch cable from detaching from the end of the clutch fork and is held in place by the clutch pedal return spring. In addition, it reduces the wear on the end of the return spring where metal to metal contact occurs. This was a update Opel started installing in 1971 on all CIH Opel's with manual transmission.
